The YAS-101 Front Surround Soundbar Speaker System (Black) from Yamaha provides high-quality surround sound in a slim and low-profile design. The port is shaped like a trumpet bell to reduce compression, wind noise, and distortion. The speaker grille has a saran net structure to allow unimpeded sound flow for clear listening. You can use the subwoofer output jack to connect an external subwoofer for extra bass if desired.
The YAS-101 has Yamaha's exclusive AIR SURROUND XTREME technology to reproduce 7.1-channel surround sound with excellent quality, imaging, and presence. The result is a realistic sound field with clear dialogue in the front and rich effects at the sides and rear. The unit supports popular surround sound formats such as Dolby and DTS digital surround to provide you with the full effect of multichannel sound.
A Clear Voice feature raises the volume level of dialogue and narrations while maintaining overall sound quality. This provides better clarity and speech intelligibility. The speaker's UniVolume feature maintains a consistent volume level between different channels, shows, commercials, and input sources so you can avoid sudden spikes or drops in volume. The speaker comes with a simple wireless remote control for convenience. The speaker also offers a "learning" function that allows it to be operated from your TV remote to reduce clutter.
