The Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 ED AS UMC Wide-Angle Lens for Nikon gives you a wide 84° view when used with a full-frame 35mm camera, or 57.6° when used with an APS-C camera--excellent for landscapes, cramped interiors, street photography and general photography of all kinds. Four low-dispersion (ED) glass elements and two aspheric elements produce sharply defined images with a minimum of flare and ghosting. The lens focuses as close as 9.84" from the lens, giving you outstanding wide-angle close-up views. A multi-layered and anti-reflection UMC coating provides superb light transmission. This lens will operate in Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Program, and Manual exposure modes. It features an Automatic Chip for focus confirmation and aperture and other setting adjustments directly from camera's interface.

Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 Reviews
For what it is, it is
I am happy with the performance of this lens. It is a full-manual lens and here is what works and does not work with the Sony A7R4: Works: Focus highlight (this is huge in my book) Does not: Auto focus-peaking, aperture adj (use the dial on lens), needed to set camera to 'release w/o lens' as camera does not know a lens is attached All of this is to be expected but I was unclear on what worked/didn't work.
Love this incredibly fast lens on a budget!
I bought this lens after my trip to Maine during which I shot a great Milky Way image from the Rockport Bay using a Sigma f/2.8. I live in the Hudson Valley, NY and used the Rokinon (Samyang) on a Milky Way shot nearby. Turned out great! One thing, it won't help you with light pollution - get somewhere DARK!
