Coiled Cable for HD25 - II is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid replacement cable! After owning my HD-25's for 3+ years, the original cable finally crapped out, so I opted for the longer coiled cable. Pretty solid build quality for a cable, with nice connectors on all ends. The only worry I had to begin with before even installing was that the extra weight of the cable pulling on the super light headphones would be bothersome, and initially it was as expected, but that's more due to the aspect that you're used to the lighter weight, so after a few weeks of adjustment I hardly notice it, whether it's plugged into a Dj mixer or your studio interface it's a Better experience all around with this cable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Freedom! Replacing the short cord that comes standard with the HD25 with this much longer coiled replacement breathes new life into these headphones! The short cord has, in the past, damaged mixers, and pulled the phones from my head. Not any more! This cable is a perfect fit, and can be installed within 10 minutes. Great investment in the life of your headphones, and in your own sanity. Includes 1/8 to 1/4 screw adapter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from casually happy owner, minor caveats My only real complaint is the straight jack. It's kinda huge. It feels weird/imbalanced sticking out of my Moto G 2014. Other than that, this is the only actual copper cable for HD 25-1 II's that B&H carries (others are mislabeled). The sound is noticeably better than with the stock metal cable at mid-higher volumes, so it delivers on that front. The coiled cable is a fair bit heavier than the stock cable. I used to be able to wear my headphones at the gym (the cans themselves are pretty rugged) but now I mostly use them as duty headphones. The cable will also make your HD 25-1 II's look slightly more expensive, just be aware of that. (With the stock cable, the cans were low profile enough so I never worried about walking in a big city with them on.) The jack fits the standard iPod/mp3 player, with a detachable adapter for sticking it in an amp. This is clearer in pictures on other sites after a bit of googling. All in all, the audio quality is worth it. I just wish it came with a right angle jack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good replacement. I swapped out the weak cable that came stock with my HD 25 Amperior headphone with this coiled version. Lives up to my expectations. Comes with the threaded to adaptor incase your wondering. You will need a small torx screwdriver to remove the old cable and install the new one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Life For My Favorite Headphones My 5-year-old Sennheiser HD25-II headphones went south recently on location--my left channel audio was cutting in and out. I debated whether to repair them or bite the bullet and order a new set of cans. I opted for the coiled cable replacement and am I glad I did. The repair took all of 5 minutes! Just make sure the red and black plug in tabs are plugged in with the L and R facing away from your head. If you don't do this you will likely botch the repair and compromise the terminal fittings. My cans sound as good as the day I first bought them. My only regret is that I did not immediately install the longer coiled cable on my headphones when they were brand new. The coil virtually reduces any chance of straining the cable or connector while doing field location recording. I cannot thank Sennheiser enough for making this repair option available and making it so simple to boot. Highest recommendation I can bestow on a product. This simple repair resurrected my favorite set of headphones of all time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great cable after purchasing an aftermarket replacement cable for $25 that lasted about a week, i bought this original replacement cable and it sounds even better than the original cable the headphones came with, plus it is heavy duty with great materials

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can reach for anything! My only issue was looking for the correct wrench to unscrew the screw that was holding the old wires. Other than that, this the best upgrade for my my headphone.
