Sony LCS-BP2 Overview

  • 1Description

The black LCS-BP2 Backpack Carrying Case from Sony offers you a flexible way to carry your NEX system camera. The nylon pack is sleek and lightweight but will hold the camera, several lenses and accessories. Plenty of room inside to arrange the four dividers into the perfect configuration to suit your gear. Outside, there are various storage pockets to accommodate your support gear like batteries, memory cards and cables.

The pack is semi-soft in design and comfortable to wear. Its flexibility comes from the ability to wear it as either a traditional backpack or as a sling-style bag. There's even a top carry handle for quick grab situations. Swing it to the front, open the compartment and withdraw your camera. When done, toss it back over your shoulder (left or right). In either format, you have rapid access to your gear.

Zippers and buckles secure the pack for a tight fit and closure. The included rain cover is valuable when you're out walking and the weather turns sour. Quickly deploy it for waterproofing the exterior. This is a modestly priced pack that will get you through a day's shooting in comfort and style.

    Sony LCS-BP2 Reviews

LCS-BP2 Backpack Carrying Case (Black) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Carry case for my a77, lenses and stuff Used for my first digital slr/slt alpha a77. Bought it for the unique zipper access and promise of interesting, capabable carry for camera and couple-three lenses, flash, charger, misc... Brilliant !!! Was obvious that i could arrange backpack straps into a sling and sure enough it works. I have a single sling that over left shoulder (i am right handed) allows me to slide pack in front of my torso and with the curvy side zips allows me to access camera lenses or flash from the top pouch. You have to experience it to appreciate it! As they say, great piece of kit! Perfect compliment to the a77.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good bag, but not for everyone. Well constructed and well thought out bag. Good price-performance. Nice style and the layout was exactly what i wanted. The size isn't for everyone so check it out before buying (i.e. don't buy without seeing the product first!). Can't hold my tripod (Manfrotto 190PROXB), but bag probably was only designed to handle smaller Sony tripods.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hate to be a Debbie-Downer... I use this bag for my full-time photography work. I am an active photographer, often changing lenses, bodies and equipment. I photograph children, families, weddings and a lot of portraiture.Great construction. Great materials. The inside is soft and interchangeable to customize to the needs of my equipment...but here's the thing:I can't stand the zipper function. The bag is molded to as it appears in the picture. The zipper (there are four of them - so, good for more customization of access...) runs from between the connection points of the back straps, up towards the top of the bag, then all the way underneath the bag, then back up towards the top, then back to the middle of the connection points of the other strap. You didn't follow that, did you? I probably wouldn't have either.Take a good look at the picture and see the zipper placement. There are no fold lines on the pack so that the zipper can fully open for access to all your equipment. It is great if you want to grab your camera from the side for a quick shot, but as a active photographer, I find it very inconvenient. The bag doesn't stay open. It closes when gaining access to your gear. Also - that zipper on the front? It is a very small pocket under there. Good for holding a pack of batteries, extra SD cards - small flat objects. As prime real estate (front and center) I would have thought this pocket to be more useful. All in all - I wouldn't buy this again. Give it some good thought.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bigger than it looks Got this for my Sony HDR-CX580V. Fits all of my gear, which includes, shotgun mic (and it's accessories), ND filter, lens hood. Various cables fit nicely in the top compartment. I like the various ways it can be carried. This is a very useful product because all your accessories can be carried with you. The rain cover is a nice addition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect carrying case for NEX-7 system I use the case to carry the camera, three lenses, and a speedlight. I use it as a sling so that I can have quick access to the lenses and speedlight. It's light on the back and easy to access.

would it fit the Sony Alpha a7R III?
    Asked by: Daniela l.
I use this bag for a a6000 and it has more than enough room. The inserts are Velcro and can be moved around to fit different sized objects. One bad thing about this bag is when you have a tri pod on the outside, the bag significantly leans that direction. Otherwise, no complaints!
