The Ikelite Ultra Compact Underwater Housing for Sony DSC-WX9 is a waterproof case for your Sony DSC-WX9 digital camera. The clear polycarbonate, injection molded housing has a depth rating of 200' (60 m). The mechanical controls offer full access to all camera functions except for the Mode switch through the housing. An easy-open latch and drop-in camera loading make set-up a breeze. Two 12-24 threaded mounts on the bottom of the case enable the secure, rotation-free attachment of optional trays and lighting accessories.
Color correction filters help to bring back some of the reds, oranges and more natural tones that are typically lost underwater. This housing accepts the optional color correction filters #6441.32 for tropical blue water and #6441.72 for green water (not included). Wide-angle lenses help you get closer to your subject while still fitting everything in-frame, thus cutting down on distance and distortion for clearer images. The housing accepts optional 46 mm threaded #6420.46 Ikelite W-20 and other lenses attached directly to the front of the port. It also accepts 67 mm threaded #6420 Ikelite W-20, Inon Type II and Epoque lenses using the #9306.81 Port Adapter, and Bayonet style Inon UWL-105AD, UWL-100 28AD and UFL-165 28AD lenses using the #9306.79 Port Adapter. Additionally, the housing accepts 67 mm threaded macro lenses using the #9306.81 Port Adapter.
An included flash diffuser improves lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used. The housing accepts external underwater strobes to help eliminate backscatter better than the camera's built-in flash can do by itself. Use the optional AutoFlash AF35 for easy automatic exposure, or a DS Substrobe with EV Manual Controller for more power and a wider angle of coverage. For additional lighting when using the camera's movie mode and to aid in focus, the camera accepts the optional Pro-V8 LED Video Lite.
