I can not figure out which way the batteries go in...or what size (LR43/LR44). Batteries didn't come with mine....or even what they are for ?
Mine came new with 2 LR43 batteries. The light for compass did not work with these batteries. I only had LR44 batteries so I put them in + side facing out towards the cap and they worked. The batteries are for using the compass in the dark. When you use the binoculars in the daylight the white rounded protrusion on the top right of the binoculars allows ambient light to illuminate the compass reading area. When the correct batteries are installed and the power button is held down a red LED inside the binoculars illuminate the compass section of the viewfinder. You can tell if it is working if the white protrusion turns red when you push and hold the power button

RANGEFINDER IS IN PLACE BUT NOT A PROBLEM, COMPASS IS VERY LOW IN RIGHT SIDE, BEST UNDER $300.00 CLASS

The product looks and feels great. But I have no idea how to work everything because the generic manual is useless. For example, there IS no center focus wheel, there IS no zoom lever, there ARE no fold down/twist up/pull up eyecups, just standard rubber cups, non-adjustable. So I have no info on how to connect the strap, how to put in the batteries, how to know if there is a zoom, etc. I'll mess with it until I figure it out, but the correct manual would be great. Is there a more comprehensive one on line?
I haven't seen any better instructions on line. Just adjust the 2 individual eye cups to your liking and they seem to focus automatically from there. Battery is near right ring finger as you hold the binoculars. Strap holes are near each thumb as you hold the binoculars. Hope this helps.
