Solid metal, this adapter will last forever. It screwed in securely to my binoculars. I used it to adapt binoculars to a tripod. Highly recommended.

question

Hi it this adaptor work with my Hawke Sport Optics 10x43 Frontier ED Binocular?
Asked by: minh t.
Yes. Unscrew the cap on the front of the central hinge it will have an H on it, then screw the tripod adapter horizontal screw into the hole in the binocs that the cap was screwed into. I find easier to first attach the adapter by its verticle screw hole to a tripod. Makes a very stable platform for high magnification.

question

Is this made of steel, aluminum, or hard plastic?
Asked by: William C
It's a cast non-ferrous metal. My guess would be aluminum. Well made and works great with my heavy Fujinon 10x70 astronomy binoculars.
