question
How frequently must the batteries be changed?
I've owned mine about 9 months and it's still going. It seems to only activate the fingerprint scanner if you press the button, and thus shouldn't use any power otherwise. It would probably depend upon how often you open/close it, since that should be the only times it uses any battery power. I only use mine a few times a month so I'm not a heavy user. It's also supposed to have a warning feature when the batteries get drained to a certain point. Hope this helps a little.
