Very easy, follow the instructions that come with the safe. You just push an initiate button and a light turns red on the fingerprint pad, place the finger you programed on the pad and when the pad recognizes your fingerprint the red light will turn green; you then have about ten seconds to turn the handle that lets you pull open the door.
