Locking 1/8" (3.5mm) TRS Connector is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too long for Sennheiser Product description says for Sennheiser. Bought two of these to repair Sennheiser microphone connections to remote transmitters at our church. Neither one worked and I know they were built correctly. Found that when fully secured with the screw collar, it pulls the plug too far into the jack and shorts out the line to return. In order to make this work, I'll have to shim (perhaps with a gasket or washer) the jack near the collar flange to prevent that. I'm not happy that something with this specific of an application has this much of an oversight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, rugged microphone-connector repair This connector was used to repair, -actually replace, the locking connector on a ear-mounted microphone. It's the second batch I've ordered, but it's been a year or more since using the previous ones. I knew I'd have to separate the internal parts from the threaded lock ring, so I was pulling mightily on it and trying to get it past the supposed interference fit between ring and body. Arrgh! I eventually discovered the lock ring just unscrews with very little effort. Once again finesse wins over brute strength. All internal connections are rugged, well-defined, and easy to connect. Good product! I recommend it for stage microphone repairs, etc. Just keep King Kong away from it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great replacement for sennheiser EW 100 I used it to replace the plug on the lapel mic that came with my EW100G2 Microphone body pack. Those mics are notorious for shorting out at the connector because their solder connections are so close together. They also have issues with the screw ring getting stuck when used. This has none of those issues and the screw ring pulls back far enough to not get in the way of use with other, non-sennheiser applications.... so now I can plug my sennheiser mic into my mp3 recorder as well as the body pack. Feels solid, screws on easily. no problems. easy to access solder points and comes with heat-shrink tubing. perfect. I haven't used it much yet though so I can't attest to it's long term durability.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly Built Connector I used this product to make new wireless guitar cables for my Sennheiser belt packs. The solder contacts inside this connector are made of a very thin metal and break and bend quite easily. I was not satisfied with this product.I would recommend the switchcraft version of this, it uses a thicker metal all around, and is easier to work with, as well as more durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy, economical microphone repair This locking TRS 1/8 connector was exactly what we needed to repair two wireless microphones. There's ample space inside for wiring, and the device comes with three different sizes of heat-shrink tubing to provide a small measure of strain relief. Even though it would be lovely to find an all-metal locking connector for this price, the plastic construction of this part is quite sturdy and should provide durable service for a long time. Good price, easy to install, durable! What more could you ask?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty Good I used this to replace a damaged connector on a lav mic. While it works well and feels sturdy, it you have a thin cable, as is common with lav mics, there is a large hole at the top of the connector where the cable goes into the metal housing. Even with the heat shrink, there is not a tight seal protecting the connectors inside from debris. Considering the price, I can't really complain though. It was clearly designed to accommodate cables that get as large as regular XLR.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Connector, Good Choice Nice heavy feel to it, made from metal and not plastic. The only drawback and the reason for 4 stars is the fact that there really isn't a good strain relief or something to narrow the opening. The wire coming out the back in my case was so small it looked funny. I ended up mixing up some epoxy and partially filling the end. There needs to be a rubber plug to take up the extra space. Including heat shrink tubing was a nice touch. I'll buy it again, no doubt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Replacmenent for Sennheiser I've used my sennheiser lavalier mic for about 2 years and started getting drop outs or no sound from recordings. I found the wires inside the connector had come loose. It would cost over $100 to buy a new one so I looked for a new connector. This connector is great quality, actually more study than the original. For a $ investment I couldn't be happier.
