Native Instruments SESSION STRINGS PRO - Virtual Contemporary Studio Strings

SESSION STRINGS PRO from Native Instruments is a virtual instrument featuring contemporary studio strings. The 11-piece ensemble was recorded with two microphone placements, one for a close, dry modern sound particularly suitable for pop, rock and R n' B, the other for more classically inspired compositions, but still exhibiting clarity and intimacy.

Each of four ensembles consists of five instrument groups - full ensemble, four violins, three violas, two cellos and two basses. Play full ensembles, mapped across the keyboard, or individual instrument groups. Multiple velocity layers and 29 articulations provide a wide expressive range. With smooth looping, fluid transitions, and up to four round robin samples per note, SESSION STRINGS PRO delivers a strikingly natural sound. An additional set of presets provides the sound of vintage soul and disco.

Chords and monophonic lines can be played at the same time, and all 29 articulations are available in a single interface. And for instant rhythm, the completely customizable Animator transforms the chords into lively rhythmical phrases, with a choice of articulations, note lengths, and time signatures. Detailed control of the sound even includes the amount of bow noise. All ensembles are provided as either a Performance, for playing with two hands on the keyboard, or Production, for assigning key switches.

An integrated effects section allows for additional fine-tuning. The three effects include a 3-band parametric EQ, compressor, and a convolution reverb. The reverb features 10 different impulse responses with mix level adjustments available.
