When it comes to the simple, humble tools, it speaks volumes about a company how they make them. There are plenty of table stands like this one, but Atlas makes them a bit better, a bit more polished (particularly the base), a nicer black pipe...it all adds up to a good-looking, quality stand that sits easily on a coffee table if needed, without being intrusive. It holds my AKG 414 XLS with shock mount; it holds my small condensers, my short shotgun... It is simple, good quality, nice looking and reasonably priced from a company that has done stands for decades. You need a table stand, go with this.
