This is a Short Double Male Stud for Super Clamps from Impact. It is a double-ended, 5/8"-diameter brass stud that has a 1/4"-20 male screw on one end and a 3/8"-16 male screw on the other. It can be used with Super Clamps, Varipoles, light stands, boompoles, etc., and is constructed from solid brass.

seems to be high quality brass. will see how it does long term when the mount screw from superclamp bites into repeatedly, but so far so good. and being a double stud, perhaps makes me feel a bit more, well ... studly 😆
I use this for attaching small light duty accessories. Cold shoes, Arca Swiss bases. Works well.
