The Atlas AD-6B Microphone Mount Coupling Adapter is a turnaround adapter that features two 7/8"-27 threaded female ends. The adapter attaches two 7/8"-27 threaded male studs from microphone mounts, flanges and other mounting hardware.

I used this coupler to mount a desktop mic stand extension onto my existing mic stand, to increase the height.
This little coupling adapter can help you raise the height of your mic setup if you are using the atlas sounds MS-25E alongside the SE reflexion filter. I use the MS-25E in my studio , we have one artist who is about 6' 4, I felt the combo of the MS-25E and SE Reflexion Filter is an excellent combination ( sutibale for virtually any height up to 6' 4) but I always felt it was a tiny bit to short for our 6' 4 artist. This little adapter only raises the height by two or three inches of height but It can make a big difference. After I added the Coupling Adapter and reinstalled the SE Reflexion filter I felt the height I had for my tall artist was perfect ( We were working with a neumann TLm-103 in the shockmount).
