Ruggard MCT-CF Reviews
Need the same for Ruggard case for CFast Cards
I’ve always much preferred hard cases for media cards in this configuration rather then the 2-4 or more cases that are more rectangular. Why: 1. They fit into a front jeans pocket better allowing better movement for kneeling squatting or laying prone on the ground. And with today’s cards being larger capacity a single case like this with two large capacity cards is plenty for me to get through the day. 2. With all of the cards in one 3-6 or 8 sized case, if all of your cards go into that larger case from a shoot……and you loose the thing….which does and will happen from time to time, you loose EVERYTHING. I prefer to use card cases for 1-2 cards like this and spread the shoot out on multiple cards and place each shot card in a case in separate places or separate bags. Ever have an airline loose you bag and ALL of your cards from a shoot are lost too? 3. Larger cases often end up in a hip pocket because they don’t fit well in a front jeans pocket. In a hip pocket they get sat on, or pulled out and left behind. 4. Ruggard: This is a good product in a perfect configuration. Please consider ramping up production of a similar hard cases for CF Express cards; perhaps in another color to distinguish them from the current green CF card cases. 5. I find the metal chain is not something ai use as all. Use of the chain dangles the case on the side of my jeans; it is subject to snags and ripping off when squeezing through tight spaces or even in a crowd of people. I currently cut the chain off. I think the product will sell just as well without the chain attached. I really do like this case and have been looking a long time for a smaller 2 card hard case in this configuration. So many are multi card cases, which are not bad if you leave them in the car or in a bag….until the bag gets lost or even stolen. But larger multi card cases are just not easy to keep in the front pocket of a pair of jeans. Great product. I will buy more…
Small, useful
This is a small but very useful case. C Fast cards being as expensive as they are this is a great way to protect your investment. And still small enough to fit neatly in my Z-Cam Pelican case.
