This updated model features a dual tungsten illumination system that provides top (incidental) and bottom (transmitted) specimen lighting options. This model of the 409 series microscope is configured with inclined 10x eyepieces, achromatic 1x and 3x objectives mounted on a rotating turret that locks in place, and rack and pinion focusing with slip clutch and tension adjustment. The included 80mm reversible black and white contrast plate and 80mm frosted glass stage provides operators with several viewing options that compliment the multi-angle illumination system.
