National Optical 452-TBL-10-LED Stereo Microscope

The National Optical and Scientific Instruments 452-TBL-10-LED Stereo Microscope is a compact instrument, designed for use in elementary, middle, and high schools. Providing an upright, unreversed image it's ideal for young scientists. Also, in addition to slides the microscope accomodates three dimensional objects.

The optical system of the 452-TBL-10 consists of paired widefield 10x eyepieces. Placed on a fixed head these eyepieces provide 1x and 3x magnification. Helping the student to see their specimens clearly is the (cordless) LED illumination. Cool running and long-lasting, LED illumination keeps live specimens living, and one 8 hour charge provide up to 50 hours of use.

Other highlights of the microscope include rack and pinion focusing, along with focusing safety features like a slip clutch and tension adjustment. The base consists of two 80mm stage plates: one frosted glass and a reversible black/white plastic contrast plate. Two locked-on stage clips work to keep slides secure.
