Kodak Gold 200 reviews

GOLD 200 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 24 Exposures, 3-Pack) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 51.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from All in all, a great film, at an excellent price. I shoot about 2-4 rolls of film a week, and I am always looking for a different look which leads to trying different films, and this film has a look that I wouldn't say is perfect but it is unique and I like it. I process and scan my images at home, receiving immediate feedback on films with consistent results is something I look forward to, and this film has surprised me. I will preface this statement by saying I am not a cheapskate, I will pay more for a better product every time, but this product has given me more value than I have paid for it which is a rare thing. All in all, a great film, at an excellent price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent reasonably priced film I found the Kodak 200 gold to have excellent color rendition. The exposure latitude was quite good also. The dynamic range on this film is quite a bit better than my Nikon 5500 digital camera. One of the shots I just got back went from shade under a tree too bright sunlight and a freshly painted white bridge. All of this came out at the right exposure. There is no way any of my digital cameras could've done this . The color is really excellent on this film.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable, Underrated, Great Film Although it's a consumer grade film, I've found that whenever I load up my Nikon and shoot a roll of Kodak Gold 200 I'm always surprised how great the images look, specifically the color saturation. It handles various lighting situations beautifully. Use in bright light with a polarizer. Use with a flash indoors and the results are usually spectacular. I think Kodak Gold 200 is very underrated. It's really an all around versatile film.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great film for documenting events!!! For those photographers that are still daring and technically confident to utilize film in their workflow, this film works well for telling the stories of the types of events that I am commissioned to shoot such as birthday parties, showers, engagement parties, class reunions and get togethers. The grain structure is not noticeable for properly exposed images. Great film for photojournalism!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the As a general outdoor photographer I always buy Kodak 200. The 100 is ok but the 200 gives me a bit more versatility with low light and speed. Most of my photo taking is outdoor scenics and gardens. Haven,t found it to be grainy at all and has more accurate color than Fuji. (just my 2 cents). Can,t find it in stores any longer where I live so am very glad that it is available here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best All-Around Excellent general purpose film. Excells oudoors and in sun, but I haven't yet tried flash with this film. Very reliable and has a subtle unique tone and grain structure. Plus, it's nice and cheap. You really can't go wrong with this film.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The digital Killer This Ultra-Affordable film (a.k.a. ColorPlus 200) here in Europe, the price of this film is 1/7 of Ektar and 1/5 of Portra, it's is a consumer film, but Pro use (and love) this film, few time ago it's sell without paper box and plastic case, in a professional style foil wrap, and now the price grow a little and return the standard paper box and plastic case. This film have several advantage: 1 It's a Kodak (High quality) 2 Every 1h Lab in the world know how to print (the most important) 3 Cheap 4 Razor sharp 5 Please remember this film is NOT Kodak Gold 200 I use only this film, due fantastic price, in my travel across Europe, without problem, i use over 20 roll in legendary London garden and obtain always fantastic razor sharp picture and good colour.
