I bought these rings for a 40mm scope, they say they are good for up to 40mm scopes. The scope hits the barrel and there is about .100 gap from the scope being seated in the rings. They are well made and fit nicely on my rifle. I now have to return the rings and must pay for the shipping both ways because they don't refund shipping
