The screw's position can be adjusted in two dimensions to help you avoid blocking the camera's battery door. Holes at either end of the plate surface accept the attachment of a camera strap.

    Photo Clam PCPA-PC59UP3 reviews

PC-59-UP3 Universal Camera Plate is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Get a better QR plate The ball head is great but the quick release plate they recommend PC-59-UP3 is not large enough for the clamp to securely grab onto. I had my Nikon D300s with a 70-300 lens pointed straight up and the only thing that kept it from falling off was the safety pin. You're thinking I didn't tighten it enough. Me too. Wrong, it did it over and over again. Maybe try Photo Clams next size up PC-69-UP3. Or just use another Arca Swiss compatible plate that's a little larger and sturdier. I'm using my Benro PU-60 from my Benro B-3 ballhead. That's solid. No more slippage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Very Good Traveling Spare This is a good enough, Arca style plate and sells at as fair price. I'm a big fan of hand grips and the strap attachment points allow a had grip to be attached on a stock DSLR body. With a hand grip installed, it hangs a bit if you slide it into an AcraTech tripod head but drops in just fine. The coin slot screw head is inferior to Allen head solutions found on more expensive Arca plates. Allen heads allow more torque to be applied and are less likely to loosen with use. Additionally, the plate mount area is thick enough that I couldn't swap an Allen head for the stock mount screw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PhotoClam plate Very well made universal camera plate. It is hollow on the underside to allow for a spring loaded pin to engage the hollow area and prevent the camera from sliding out of the arca-swiss clamp. I have several clamps on different devices and with a plate on each camera, lens or panorama head I am able to switch out cameras in seconds, no fussing with screws or looking for plates. Very handy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works perfectly Because I have a variety of camera makes and models, universal A-S style quick release plates make sense for me. The universal plate by Photo Clam easily attaches to all of my cameras and lens collars. The plate can be secured by both Arca-Swiss Monoball Z1 Quick Release ball head clamp and by the RRS BH-55LR ball head clamp. The narrowest part on my copy of the dove tail measures 1.335 on my caliper, and the widest part measures 1.500. It is nicely finished.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality at a realistic price Solid value. It is what it is...a universal plate a common sense price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as promised I use this on my 70-200mm Canon lens. I keep it permanatly mounted on this lens. I purchased another Photoclam plate to keep on my camera so I wouldn't have to switch back and forth between the lens and the camera. The one on my camera is specifically for the Canon 5d Mark II.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Made Mount to any bodies or lenses since it universal. The plate is great value, however it best to use with light weight lens and body combo shooting in landscape mode. When use with heavier lens such as the 24-70 on 5d2 at 90 degrees there will be camera twists.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Servicable I works well. The safety pin is kind of scary sometimes. I always wonder if it will stop my camera from sliding off the tripod and it does.
