The lens hood works as expected, it makes a larger lens a bit larger but the tradeoff in image quality is worth it for me. The hood attaches securely and allows my B+W uv filter to remain in place.

Hey, i was interested to know if it is possible to attach 52mm filters say a polarizer or a nd filter when the hood is attached ? does the hood go around the outside of the lens ? So the filter threads remain to be used ?
Unfortunately, filters cannot be attached while this hood is being used.

As far as I know, it will work with the 40mm f/1.2 not the f/2 version.
