What can you say? It's an adapter! That said, the screw-on design ensures that it stays connected, and it connects solidly into any 1/4 port, thereby ensuring a secure connection to any device. I never run into any connection issues with this adapter, so I highly recommend it!

will it work for the mdr-v600 sony headphones?

I bought these for our sony mdr-7506. I believe the v600 has the same cord and plug. These adaptors work well.

Yes, the Pearstone 1/4" screw-on adapter is compatible for use with Yamaha HPH-MT5 headphones. Yamaha includes the same type of screw-on adapter to convert the threaded 3.5mm connector to 1/4".
