Is 50' too long for connecting a lavalier mic to a video camera? (The lav. has its own battery, camera port is powered - if that makes a difference for a powered mic. Lav. is: Deity B&H: DEVLAV.) TY
50 feet is longer than the the common extension cables that are male to female and 25-feet long like the Pearstone 3.5mm Stereo Male to Female Extension Cable - Black, 25' (B&H # PEMMSB125B), but the 50-foot cable could work without any problems. Give it a try and if you find that it's noisy or the signal is weak, then use a shorter cable.

I'm looking at using this cable to connect my PC audio out to the 'B' input of the Mackie Big Knob Passive Studio Monitor Controller. I'd use the Mackie's 'A' input to connect my soundcard output.
Can I expect to have any issues (interference, etc.)? Are there better options?
Thanks
David...the soundcard outputs are RCA (BMD Intensity Pro 4K). I assume the rest of your answer still applies? Thanks.

will this cable work on portable DVD player?
