My biggest fear was spending a lot of money on a counterfeit lamp, which I've done unknowingly a few times on Amazon and eBay, where I'd end up with a lamp that has 1/4 of the output, and blows up into pieces after a year. I'm happy I bought it on B&H, this one is definitely legit! I forgot how bright my projector is - I'm really happy with my purchase!

Panasonic lamp. Easy install. It had instructions with it. 1st screw required some finesse. Precision screw driver worked best. Nice deep color. Just in time for NBA finals.

Bought from B&H because I trust them to always have the genuine replacement from Panasonic. And that's arrived. Works perfectly. Heard from my friends that other less expensive replacements don't last more than a couple hundred hours. The new one is not significantly brighter than my old lamp so it appears you can run the genuine lamps a good bit longer than when the replacement indicator comes on.

The lamp is high-quality from Epson, not some knock off. My original lamp lasted 3,000 hours on Eco mode. That was roughly 18 months of use. Not too bad I guess. Its brightness obviously went down over its lifetime, but it still was pretty good near the end. The new lamp had made the projector like new again. I can watch TV on it in the middle of the day with the curtains open--pretty close to TV brightness. I just hate that this lamp is so expensive. Projector was around $1,000 when I bought mine, and that lamp is $400. I might have to invest in a UHD TV instead of buying a lamp for this projector again.

This is an exact OEM replacement part. It fit perfectly, came with instructions and even included a replacement air filter for the projector. Save yourself some headache, don't go with a cheap knockoff and just put the crowbar in the wallet. Yes it's more expensive, but it fit and it worked first time.
