The black ACPRO1700 Digital SLR Swing Pack from Ape Case is a combination shoulder and sling-style bag that gives you extremely rapid access to your gear. The bag will hold your DSLR and up to four lenses plus a flash and numerous accessories like memory cards, cables, batteries and adapters. However, the best part of the bag is that you can access your gear from the top, side or back without having to remove the pack from your body. As a shoulder bag, it's quite comfortable with its fully adjustable harness system. However, it can quickly turn into a shooting bag providing rapid access to your gear using a zippered pocket with long pull tabs - excellent when you're wearing gloves.

The bag is made from a durable water-resistant nylon exterior and complimented by an interior made with bright, Hi Vis yellow adjustable dividers that are not only easy to configure but that make locating your gear easy when the light is low. Inside, there's a mesh stash pocket for filters, batteries and other small stuff. Outside, there are dual zippered pockets for additional gear like a flash, instruction manual or pair of gloves.

The bag is carried by its adjustable harness system that is supported by strong plastic snap couplers. The harness allows it to rest comfortably on either your shoulder or back. There's even an additional top grab handle for retrieving the bag from your car or off a closet shelf.

For even more protection, the bag comes with a tuck-away rain cover that, when deployed, covers the entire bag including your tripod that is carried in its own side mounted caddy. The feet rest in a neat pull out pocket while the legs are secured by an adjustable snap coupled tab.

And, if you don't want to carry lots of gear, you can use the ACPRO1700 Digital SLR Swing Pack as a long lens bag - a real money-saver. All in all, this pack offers many features that make it appealing to someone who wants a flexible, easy-to-use pack at a reasonable-price. It's backed by Ape's lifetime warranty against manufacturer's defects.

A clever side panel with double-zippered flap provides quick access to your DSLR, media cards, batteries and more. Get to your camera fast without taking the backpack off

ACPRO1700 Digital SLR Swing Pack (Black) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great case, but not big enough I had originally intended to order this bag for my son who is getting into photography, but later decided to order it for myself as it seemed like it would be easier on my back than the one I currently have. I liked everything about the bag...except the size. It won't hold my current equipment, which includes one DSLR, 3 lenses (incl one small zoom), flash, and accessories. However, the construction of the bag is topnotch! Your camera equipment will be quite protected with this bag. I also liked the bright yellow cloth inside. Very easy to see things. Despite the fact that I returned it, I would still recommend this product to anyone starting out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Design Make for Poor Functionality I purchased this big with a couple main goals in mind. First, I wanted a bag that fit comfortably and securely to my body so that it would not swing around while I was moving about. Secondly (and more importantly), I wanted a bag that had instant access to my lenses. Unfortunately, this bag did not satisfy on either account. I found that the bag does not sit flat and tight across my back. Though it stays on, the bag hangs awkwardly. I was also disappointed when it came to lens access. Even with the many different configurations possible with this bag, the dividers do not fit into the bag in such a way that the lenses can be accessed from the quick access opening on the side. This is because not all the surfaces in the bag are velcro. If you look at the picture that shows the fully loaded bag, you can see that the lenses are organized and easy to access. HOWEVER, this is from the back of the bag, meaning you must remove the bag to access your lenses! This was the deal-breaker for me. One more minor thing: the tripod cady is too small to hold a quality, sturdy tripod. Bottom line, this bag is well-built and the idea behind the bag is perfect. However, the design was executed poorly, making a bag that did not meet my expectations.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well for the purpose I bought it I have used it on 3 trips so far. It been somewhat of a challenge to get used to opening the back rather than the front of the bag. I do a lot of flying in my job so this bag works well as a carry on and fits easily under the seat or in the overhead. I was able to fit my Nikon D90, 18 - 105 lens, 105 Macro lens, SB700 flash, ring flash, Pentax WG-3 as well aas extra batteries, and chargers. I have not found the side entrance all that useful. I have two items that for me I would find as an improvement. 1) if the bag was slightly wider as it is a tight fit and if the sling was not so bulky.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good quality and functional This is a very good quality camera bag. The removable panels inside allow you to pack anything you need. I was looking for a bag to carry my 400 zoom L-series Canon lens, and two additional lens along with my 7D and flash. The long lens and protective case fit inside. Perfect for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ACPRO1700 is nice. I've only had it for a few days, so long term durability is unknown. It looks to be well built. I don't expect problems in that regard. Access to the camera is easy while wearing. Other compartments less so. Total access to the primary area is only done by removing the pack from your back. I don't often need to do that, so it's not an issue for me. Padding is very nice and plenty of thick dividers are included. At this point, I have no problem recommending this case for a camera with small lens, another medium lens, flash and small accessories.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what i was looking for. I needed a little bigger bag as my gear collection was growing and I decided on this guy. It was absolutely perfect. I was able to customize the padding to it fit everything perfect. I love all the different access points, the tripod jockey is great compared to some other bags i have owned and the built in rain cover is just the icing on the cake. Worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Good So Far at Least I found the bag to be as described on the web site. For my use, the bottom portion is long, deep, and wide enough to hold a 300mm lens (hood reversed) with body attached as well as an 80-200 lens in its soft case. The top part (i.e., above the movable divider) holds a 28-80mm zoom with body attached. Plus, the pockets hold various other small items. For my use, most of the divider cushions are removed. The bag seems plenty sturdy, but time will tell. At the moment, I'm quite pleased and, so far at least, like the bag as well as the longer Tenba Long Lens Bag. That bag holds a 500mm lens and body, along with a short zoom and body above it, cushioned with a piece of soft foam packing. Both bags loaded are both a little heavy, but seem sturdy enough to handle the weight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Want access and versatility? Buy this! I ordered this bag as an airline carry on as well as an all around carry solution for my Canon 60D, 24-70 and 70-200 lenses. The multiple access points is why I bought this bag and it did not disappoint! I can access my personal items, which if desired, can be stored separately from my gear in the front outer pocket. You can access everything at an overhead view by a full zipper on the back. There is also access on the side or top, both of which lead to internal pockets and access to that area of the bag. The bottom has 2 heavy plastic feet, so I have no problem setting it down on the ground. The padding is superior and the bag is very comfortable to carry. I love the small grab and go handle at the top! My gear is safely protected in this bag, even without a wrap or case! The configuration options with this bag is another reason I purchased it. It comes with several velcro ended padded panels allowing me to choose exactly how I want to arrange my gear. Because there are 2 internal pockets, one that covers the entire top and one at the bottom on the side, these areas cannot attach to the panels. Still, you can work around it because so many panels come with the bag. The reasons I did not give this bag 5 stars is 1) my zipper sticks at the top and 2) If I want to leave my 70-200 lens in it's standard padded pouch, it's a very tight squeeze to get the body and 24-70 lens into a good carrying position and 3) The waist pad is bulky and does not stow. Sometimes when I access the bag from the main zipper in back, the strap is just awkwardly there. Still, I love this bag for daytime use. For an airline carry on, I will go a bit bigger on my next purchase so that I can carry more than just my camera gear. But if camera gear is all you want to put in this bag as a carry on, then buy this for sure! Just double check the internal measurements against your gear and realize the padded panels quickly reduce the amount of space you have to work with.
