Bower's 2x DGII Teleconverter (4 Element) for Nikon will effectively double the focal length of your Nikon lens, while maintaining the autofocus function. A 50 mm lens becomes a 100 mm lens. The teleconverter uses multi-coated optics to deliver high-quality images. With an 85 mm f/1.4 lens, for example, the focal length will become 170 mm, which effectively sets the maximum aperture at f/2.8 (cutting the amount of light captured by two f/stops). This teleconverter is a portable and versatile accessory that's well worth having in your camera bag. It's only compatible with Nikon F mount lenses with a maximum aperture greater than f/4.0 in order to fully utilize its autofocus capabilities.

2x DGII Teleconverter (4 Element) for Nikon is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised I purchased this somewhere else, but thought I'd write a review. I have not tried any other teleconverters to compare quality, but this one autofocuses with my Nikon AF-S lenses and also communicates the updated aperture to the camera with the teleconverter on. There is some downgrade in quality (as I would expect with any 2X converter). But it makes up for that in the magnification vs. cropping without. One thing is that it does seem to search quite a bit for autofocus; but not horrible. Make sure you select Single autofocus instead of Continuous or auto focus will never stay still on a spot!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad for the price Pretty good quality results for the money. I was actually expecting to be disappointed when I bought this but I was in a hurry and on a budget and had to try it. I was not disappointed at all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad for the price. use this with my Nikon D3200 and 55-300mm Nikor zoom lens. auto focus will work if you have a lot of light but does tend to search a lot. have lost a couple shots because the camera did not meter the lighting properly. converter does an adequate job on long shots where you have time to focus manually. not bad for the price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too much loss of resolution The loss of resolution was too much for my liking. Autofocus was very erratic in most settings.
