The Genus PV Matte Box Advanced Kit MK2 features the Genus GPVCMC wide, clip-on Matte Box; a top mounted french flag; two adjustable side flags; a height extension bracket; a swing-away bracket; a lens adapter ring with nuns knickers; and two 4 x 5.65" filter holders. A matte box is an excellent tool for maximizing light control and an efficient mean of deploying and adjusting filters. This model can accommodate wide-angle lenses and is a great fit for nearly any video camera.
The Genus GPVCMC Panavision Wide Clip-on Matte Box
Equipped with a wide 16:9 shade, the matte box can accommodate standard and wide-angle lenses, and the rear clamp attaches directly onto a lens with an outside diameter of 105 mm. An available adapter is required for use with lenses with a smaller lens diameter.
Top Mounted French Flag and Adjustable Side Flags
The french flag and side flags are made from high-grade aluminum with a non-reflective black coating finish and help to maximize light control.
Height Extension and Swing Away Bracket
The Height Extension Bracket allows you to attach the matte box to industry standard 15mm rods and adjust the height as needed. The included swing-away bracket provides quick access for lens changes and features a magnetic catch and lock knob to ensure that the matte box is held firmly.
Two 4 x 5.65" Filter Holders
One filter holder is fixed and one rotates 360° for adjusting polarizers and graduating filters. Users can also adjust the friction on the rotating holder, and click stops every 90° rotation help to judge the position of the filter. Both filter holders can be removed from either the top or the bottom of the matte box assembly and they are compatible with 4 x 5.65" and 4 x 4" filters.
A Lens Adapter Ring with Nuns Knickers
The elastic shroud provides a universal fit and blocks extraneous light coming from the side and behind the lens/matte box connection.
