Bower VFK67C overview

  • 1Description

This 67mm Digital Filter Kit from Bower includes an ND4 filter, a circular polarizer filter, and a UV filter, as well as a lens cap, and a cap keeper. A carrying case is provided to keep your filters safe when not in use.

ND4 Filter
This neutral density 0.6 filter enables a two stop increase in exposure. It darkens the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the overall coloration of the image.
UV Filter
The UV filter is a general use, clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. No additional coloration or contrast is provided, allowing you to pair this filter with others. The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.
Circular Polarizing Filter
The circular polarizing filter helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. This results in a noticeable increase in the saturation of skies and foliage, as well as clearer imagery when photographing in hazy conditions. A circular polarizer differs from a linear polarizer in that it supports full use of a camera's autofocus and auto exposure functions.

    Bower VFK67C reviews

67mm Digital Filter Kit is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk Cheap, and camera unable to auto focus through the CPL. There is a reason why its cheap and comes with a bunch of stuff. The reason is that its junk. My Nikon D7100 with both my Nikkor 70-300 and my 35mm 1.8 (52mm filter kit) would lock on focus with Auto focus but all shots were out of focus with the CPL from these kits on. Don't go cheap and get the super cheap kit. while the CPL did in fact work as intended in the fact that it blocked polarized light, it also makes your auto focus worthless. Perhaps its okay if you only want to manual focus. I don't know, I returned both kits I got.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome price, unbelievable results! I bought this kit as a quick cheap way to get a circular polarizer and got a UV filter and ND filter with this kit with the polarizer I wanted. I am pleasantly surprised by the image quality I get from this kit especially considering the extremely low price. These are the Pros and Cons as I see them.Pros Price - The most obvious is the steal you get here. They may as well be giving them away. Build Quality - All metal assembly, strong, sturdy and light. Case - This kit includes a very useful case which protects the filters very well. Image quality - IQ is very good. I got no noticeable degradation in sharpness with any of the filters. The polarizer works as it is stated and is very effective in doing its job. Furthermore, I got no color casting from the neutral density filter. It provides 2 stops of blockage without affecting the color in any way. I am very please and certainly surprised by this as I expected for the price, I would have to be correcting color or adding sharpness in post; I am reporting very objectively that I had zero issues with any color or sharpness issues. AMAZING!!!ConsI try to be as objective as I can with all my reviews as I feel I am reporting in order for someone else to either consider the product or plainly consider a different product. Now you are going to get even better build quality from Tiffen or B+W and of course greater clarity but from my comparisons with a Tiffen polarizer and UV filter, I could not see the difference. With my copy of this kit, there is nothing I can really complain about. If I were to pick nits, I would say that the ND filter could be 3 stops instead of 2 but that doesn't even really bother me. Writing this review has taken me hours because I am genuinely trying to fine something wrong with this kit.Get this kit, you can't go wrong!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value pack I spotted this pack in my search for a UV filter to protect one of my zoom lenses. This kit had my UV filter, as well as a decent ND4, polarizer, extra cap, and cap keeper. This isn't the highest end stuff, but if you just need some extra tools to get the job done, then this is a pretty solid deal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from They Don't Come Cheaper Than These This was the cheapest 67mm filter kit I could find. I believe that 'filter fetishism' - i.e. spending $107 for one 67mm filter - is irrational. The images with the UV and polarizer look just fine. I do not use ND filters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy it again Perfectly fit with my Fujinon 67mm lens. The filters are a must to protect your expensive lens. Although the cap keeper is kind of short, it will work enough. Highly recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for The polarizer and UV filters are great but the ND filter has a weird tint to it that messes up the coloring and you can't fix it with white balancing. Great case though

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the money I don't think you could find a better value away this price. Functions as you would expect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for good glass They were a gift they're about as good as the price suggests.
