Installed the lamp in the top space on our 14 unit rack. I plug it into our power conditioner so that it comes on first with all the equipment. It provides plenty of light. The lamp has a nob that increased the light from off to increased red intensity then turns white and increased to full on bright. Our rack and sound board are located in the balcony at church, so the red light is great for heavily attended events and no one is disturbed by the light. My only complaint is that I wish the intensity nob was easier to access for my fat fingers. It is tucked up close to the base of the flexible neck. I think it could be easily relocated. Bottom line...buy this light, it is awesome!

Does this unit get it's power from a wall wart type converter or is it a direct edison type plug?

The Littlite RL-10-S-LED ships with an external 12V DC power supply.
