The Hitech 100 x 100mm Hot Mirror 710 Filter incorporates a dielectric mirror within the filter to combat infrared light pollution that becomes noticeable when making long exposures with a digital camera. This situation is also naturally prevalent when photographing near strong sources of infrared, such as fires and at sunset. This hot mirror filter effectively cuts out infrared wavelengths below 710nm, but does not interfere with visible red wavelengths.
This filter measures 3.9 x 3.9" / 100 x 100mm and is compatible with the Cokin Z-Pro filter holder. It is constructed out of CR-39 dyed resin.
