This Cable works just fine. I used it for a 200ft run from my switcher to an outdoor monitor. The only issue I have is that it gets tangled soooo easily. I tried to wind it out very nice when I first got it but it kept unwinding in little loops which made it super hard to untangle. I used 3 people to wind up the cord and it took a solid 7-10 minutes to do so. I'm thinking of buying some kind of cable wheel to maybe solve this problem. I wouldn't recommend this cable for portable setups.

Unsure distance turns picture perfect.

We weren't sure how long of a run we needed, but had a ballpark idea and ordered the Canare 200' HD-SDI cable. It has worked flawlessly, providing signal from a block camera in the back of a church to a streaming server without any glitches.

Cable does what it is supposed to.

I like that it is somewhat flexible. I have purchased others that are rigid which hinders the setup process.

Good quality

Simply, the cable does what it is supposed to do. It's very durable and I expect to get years of service from it. Still to be determined is how flexible it will be after multiple uses.

I've used Canare cables for my rigs and Teradeks for about 5 years now. I've yet to have one fail, which is remarkable. So Many other brands fail, and sometimes I'm tempted to try another brand that sells a "slim" version - but how robust the Canare cables feel seem to be a direct correlation to their longevity. Highly recommended!

question

Do any of your BNC to BNC connectors connect an Atomos Shogun or Sound Device Pix-E to the newer cameras coming out like that of the BlackMagic Ursa mini, AJA Cion, or Kinemax? There's no real good tutorial on 6G or 12G SDI tutorial on the web that educates you or instructs you on how to properly choose or use those features since everyone's go to is HDMI. Thank you
Asked by: Joseph O.
The folks at Convergent Design tell their recorder's users to make sure they 3G-SDI certified cables to avoid problems. Since their recorders are more robust than those you list, I suspect that would be a good starting place. Not sure at all what you mean by everyone's go to is HDMI. HDMI is a consumer connection, not a professional one, and plagued by quality and connection issues. I can't imagine why anyone would prefer it over SDI .... I know of no professional camera asst (or DP working alone) who would rig a camera with an HDMI cable unless it was a special purpose shot with a camera that didn't have SDI output.
