The installed nVIDIA Quadro 4000 provides GPU acceleration for Premiere Pro CS5.5's Mercury Playback Engine, for real-time effects and for playback of multiple streams of HD video. Meanwhile, in addition to performing input & output for a wide variety of audio & video signal types, the DeckLink HD Extreme 3D card comes with plug-ins for Premiere Pro and Photoshop for render-free playback of uncompressed AVI & QuickTime files and AVCHD, DSLR & XDCAM HD files, and for support for 8-channel audio capture & playback.
There's also a pair of controls that will enable professional-level productivity when working with the NLE software: a Contour Design ShuttlePRO v2 jog/shuttle controller (with 15 programmable buttons) and a Logic Keyboard with color-coded keycaps and icons that highlight the keyboard shortcuts used in Premiere and other CS5.5 programs. In addition, the workstation comes with 2 TB of internal storage, 3-Port FireWire-800 and FireWire-400 PCI Host Card and a Class on Demand card (good for two years) that gives you access to any one video-based training package.
