It also reduces highlights but will not affect overall contrast. Your shadows will experience less lightening than you might expect from this type of filter. The grade 1 of this filter shows an increase in the effect of hiding facial blemishes while delivering less lightening of shadow areas. The overall warmth is increased while contrast continues to be reduced. Details are softened more than the 1/2 version.
