Microsoft 4000 reviews

Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 (Black) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 49.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice wireless mouse Years ago I tried going the wireless route when it came to mouse operations and always found them to be lacking, they either did not track accurately or the distance I had to be to my computer meant I had to have the tower sitting right on top of my desk. Finally found one that works great and I don't have to have it next to my computer. Tracks great and I can even use it without a pad on an uneven surface, It feels solidly built and scrolls nicely and the little button on the side, although sometimes I find myself accidently pushing it, feels well made. This thing should last awhile. Not very expensive so if it get lost (using it with my laptop) I won't mind spending the money to replace it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Apple Home Inspections, Inc. uses Wireless Mobile 4000 Mouse Wireless Mobile 4000 Mouse is my choice for a dependable, programmable mouse. There are many cheaper office products out there but the Wireless Mobile 4000 Mouse a very good mouse. I particularly use it for short cuts using the programmable button and a Microsoft macro.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great wireless mouse I use the product with my laptop. The small USB receiver is great because you don't have to worry about it breaking off. Life of batteries seems to be long as well, but I've only used for a few weeks now. Also, the off switch is great for saving energy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Microsoft Wireless Mouse 4000 Very well made. Very useful separate left metal button on left vertical side which on clicking is equivalent to left clicking the < - on top left of Windows screen to take you back to the previous screen. The mouse wheel however feels somewhat loose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Mouse from Microsoft When I first bought one of these, I found that I really liked this mouse. It has a small footprint which is great if you don't have a lot of room to move the mouse. Also, the driver software, that you can download, is pretty comprehensive for a mouse. You have an incredible number of options for all the buttons in addition to pointer options, scroll options, etc. It also has a tab that provides battery strength and wireless signal strength. I was so pleased with this mouse that I even bought a second one for another computer. The last paragraph is exactly what I said about the Microsoft 3000 mouse in my review of that mouse, and it applies as well to the 4000 series. This mouse, however, improves over its predecessor. The 4000 series is a larger mouse, and I feel the slight increase in size makes it more comfortable to use. The improvements are: 1. Use of a smaller nano - transceiver. The 3000 series used a larger USB stick that jutted out the side of the laptop USB port making it easy to break off. 2. No interference with another 4000 series mouse in use nearby. I would get low-signal warnings with the older mice when another one was in use nearby. 3. A switch to turn off the mouse. The 3000 series required you to place the transceiver in a slot on the underside of the mouse to turn it off. The 4000 also has a slot to insert the transceiver if you want, but I just leave plugged into the laptop. 4. According to Microsoft, it has a range of 30 feet. 5. Ability to use it on a multitude of surfaces even a carpet according to Microsoft. 6. It has a button on the side that can be programmed. No problems just works!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent mouse My wife is a professional writer and editor and depends on a good mouse. She's delighted with this mouse. The cross-hatched rubber on the sides makes for a solid grip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Microsoft Mobile wireless Mouse 4000 This mouse is small enough(4 in.) so that I can slide it along the front panel of my laptop. It is a necessary tool when running music composition software (DAW); i.e.,the screen is very packed and good mouse accuracy and response is necessary in order to invoke a specific tool. So far the RF USB dongle is unobtrusive. I chose an RF mouse over a Bluetooth mouse because I read that the response on Blue is not as good as on the RF (not verified). Moreover the running of Bluetooth may interfere with latency per my audio application software.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Mouse I use a Logitech wireless with my Macbook, but needed a new mouse for my workstation and thought I would try this wireless one. It is not as consistent in response like a wired mouse, but it is working okay. I do not think it is the mouse's fault, but maybe using a wireless mouse at a workstation may not be the best option for precision. I am glad I purchased it, as it works better than the Logitech mouse on this particular computer, but it is not as precise as my past cheap-o wired mousses.
