The Core SWX V-Mount Plate for Sony F3 is a plate designed for use with the Sony PMW-F3. It has 2 D-Tap outputs, enabling you to power accessories like lights or monitors, as well as a 12" (30.48 cm) 4-Pin XLR Female connection.

Is there an industry standard for the screws used for mounting these plates? If so, Switronix chose to ignore it. This plate comes with two sets of screws, neither of which have the matching threading for the Zacuto Zwiss cheese plate. Since I had an Anton Bauer plate there previously, I can only assume Zacuto consulted the industry before drilling all those holes in their product. I went with the Switronix plate since it is specifically designed for the Sony F3. The F3 requires some sort of cheese plate to make this product useable. Not sure why Switronix chose to hamper their product with a different threading. Next stop is *.The plate is plastic with a very exposed battery release mechanism. It seems fairly sturdy, I hope it lasts. Other than all that...it powers the camera and the P-taps both work just fine.
