Not a smart battery, so no proper readout on my camera, and maybe that's unsafe because maybe it's unregulated? not sure, but I know that I can put it to use when i need to make the camera really small and lightweight for certain setups.

I have bought many products from Watson (Batteries and Chargers) and have never been let down. Battery works great and so far has kept a it's charge. I use it with my Phase One p45+ back.

No this battery is intended for legacy Canon camcorders, such as GL-2 XF100 HD, XF105 HD, XF300 and XF305. No, these will not charge on the camera when the camera is powered off and connected to a power source. It is recommended to use the BP-955 model at minimum.
