The 3TB of hard disk storage comes preformatted to work right out of the box with Mac computers and can fully utilize Apple's Time Machine software with automatic backups and easy data recovery.

This Seagate GoFlex hard drive will also work with PC computers. With the included downloadable HFS+ driver for Windows, it's easy to read, write and share files interchangeably between both Mac and PC computers.

The power of FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 is available through the included GoFlex Desk FireWire 800/USB 2.0 desktop adapter base with an illuminated capacity gauge. You'll also be able to upgrade to USB 3.0 with available adapters and kits (both sold separately).
