    Watson NP-F770 reviews

    NP-F770 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 4400mAh) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 86.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a good physical fit Typically, I love Watson products. I have several of their chargers and batteries. This one, however, is not right. It will connect to some of my lights, but will not fit on our Small HD monitor. On close comparison to actual Sony batteries, the little grooves that slip into the holder are not in the same place. They are so very close to right that I had to very closely inspect to see that they were off. They're off just enough to keep the battery from sliding in enough to make a good connection.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good battery, great price. Very nice performance at a reasonable price. A decent alternative battery that doesn't cost too much. I bought mine for extra battery for Atomos Shogun recorder. This was far cheaper than their options and better power for the price. That said, it doesn't fit on the Atomos charger. You will want to buy a different charger, like their Watson options if you want to use with Atomos Shogun!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fits poorly on SmallHD monitors I have another Watson brand battery--their large 970 version, which is spectacular in any situation I have used it in. I purchased a pair of these 770's to use with the SmallHD FOCUS monitor (larger batteries with it cause clearance issues). The fittings on these smaller ones are ever-so-slightly different and are harder to fit onto the monitor and even harder to get back off. The Watson 970 slides on and off like butter, but you need to apply lots of pressure to take off the 770 counterparts. I have tried multiple brands such as the DSTE's off Amazon which were nearly impossible to get on and off the monitor, these, which worked but were still a bit too tight for my liking, and the Ikan 750s, which work great with the monitor. Visually I cannot tell a difference in where the fittings differ but I would steer clear of these if using on a SmallHD monitor and pick up the Ikans--otherwise I'm sure these are great batteries for lights/etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great product I use this product to power my LED light and it works very well. I also use the Sony NP-F770 with the light and there is no advantage in using the Sony which is almost twice the price. This product is good value for the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Battery I've used watson batteries previously and have not had good luck with them, but this one has been solid so far. It lasts longer then another knock off battery that has a supposed higher capacity. I use it primarily in my LED light and I've gotten roughly 4-5 hours of use with the battery still at a quarter

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't last as long as the Sony battery Initially, these batteries perform really well but the life of the battery begins to fall off after about a year. I'm at the two year mark on two of my Watson batteries and now they won't hold a charge where my name brand Sony batteries are still going strong and operate like new.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good Battery but has a mounting problem The battery perform well, but the main issue i faced is that the 2 contact holes are very wide that they don't connect properly to the LED lights i have. very frustrated as I bought these ones to be my main batteries, while the cheaper versions mount perfectly!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Big disappointment This battery held less than half the charge of the Sony original it claims to replace. I fully charged it and was stunned to see it register a time of less than 130 minutes on my NX5U. Returned it and paid the extra for the Sony.
