The VP-Scope Portable Digital Microscope Camera from Hamilton is a convenient imaging tool for hobbyists and students. This pocket-sized microscope-camera hybrid is equipped with a 2MP CMOS image sensor that can capture JPG photos at 1600x1200 resolution and AVI video at 640x480 or MP4 at 320x240. Using digital zoom, the microscope can magnify a specimen up to 200x, and its 8-LED lighting array can be adjusted to provide optimal contrast of the viewed specimen.
The VP-Scope is also capable of outputting the view seen by the microscope via its USB port. Included with the VP-Scope is a 2GB MicroSD card, Windows-compatible image analysis and editing software, and set of five lens attachments that help to provide an ideal viewing distance for a range of specimens.
