    Watson LP-E5 reviews

    LP-E5 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 850mAh) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 77.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from OEM Equivalent at a Good Price This battery was purchased as a backup for the one that came with my Canon EOS T1i DSLR, and so far seems to be a true OEM equivalent product. On the other hand, neither this battery nor the original Canon branded one comes close to giving me the 500 shots-per-charge Canon claims in the camera's literature; I'm getting typically 200 shots or less before the low battery warning. In all fairness, I admit that my T1i and I are still in honeymoon mode, and I've been trying a lot of non-routine photo shooting stuff, and may have had the LCD screen active a bit more than the authors of Canon's literature anticipated. There are other compatible batteries available with much higher ratings than the 1080mah of this and the Canon offering. For my own edification, I'll be evaluating units from other makers with ratings of 1500mah and 2000mah, respectively, to see if anything like the 500 shots-per-charge claim can be achieved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Live long and Prosper I was given 2 batteries and a Charger with my camera kit. I was so glad that I received an extra battery; you never want to be at a session and not have a back up battery and a charger. I like that a cover came with them so u can Have your extra battery properly covered while using the other.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fine backup battery I shoot a relatively large amount of photos so I'm sometimes out on a shoot and need a replacement battery. This one does the job well. It charges in the expected amount of time and seems to hold its charge well. I can recommend this battery with confidence.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I'll stick with the Canon brand The battery worked as well as the Canon version until I tried to get it out of the camera. I had to pry it out with a knife because it swelled up and got too thick for the battery compartment. The camera was turned off and had been sitting in my closet for a couple of weeks - Not in extreme temperatures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from better than I could imagine! Ill buy a battery patch but change my mind and buied this extra battery. It charges very fast and the charge remains for thousands of shots. Im ultra satiafied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great substitute for the Canon battery I haven't had much use out of my new batteries yet, so I can't comment on the test of time, but I was eager to try the new Pearstone battery pack. The Cannon batteries I have replaced wear out so quickly with my Cannon digital CLR camera. I use it very often and I always know to bring 2 batteries with me because one will die before I'm done. I'm not talking about day long shoots. Just taking pictures of my kids at a park or at a museum, or family function. So far this has been a good replacement and nearly half the cost of the Cannon replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as expected Took 3 of these out into the woods on a backpacking trip for 5 days and only had to use 1 and a half of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As good as the Canon As far as I can tell, this battery performs on par with the Canon equivalent, at only 3/4 the price.
