Canon EOS 700D is the U.S. equivelant to Canon Rebel T5i it does take the LP-E8 Battery.

Yes, the Watson LP-E8 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 1250mAh) works in the Canon T5i as well as the T4i, T5, T3i and T2i.

Watson Compact AC/DC Charger for LP-E8 Battery B&H # WACCNLPE8 MFR # C-1519 will not over charge the battery but it is not a trickle charger.

Yes, the Watson battery has all of the same features as the original manufacturer's product, including the chip showing battery levels. All batteries can be charged in the original charger, or the Watson charger.

Anyone had these watson LP-E8 for more than an year and noticed any issues like degraded capacity, does not charge at all or exhaust too soon?....Thanks...Shiv

I noticed mine stopped working, and when I insert it into Canon Battery charger, the Charge indicator light keeps flashing, and the camera battery never finishes fully charging. Spec: Watson, B1519 Replaces Canon LP-E8.
