    Watson LP-E8 reviews

    LP-E8 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 1250mAh) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 397.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from A little disappointed.. I bought this battery as a back up battery for my T3i. Although it lasts about as long as the stock canon battery, the problem I'm having is that it is not accurately telling my camera the correct battery level. I will be shooting for hours with full battery and all of the sudden out of nowhere It will start flashing red and then shut off. This is unacceptable for me because I shoot weddings and can't exactly tell the Bride and Groom to hold on a second while I swap out a battery. I need to know exactly where my battery level is at so I can plan the swap accordingly. I guess that's the price you pay for buying aftermarket. I'll most likely be buying another Canon battery to replace this and just keeping it as a secondary back up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from reasonably good Seems to have somewhat less capacity than the original battery, but not as much as it is cheaper. However, a more annoying is the fact that it doesn't display the remaining charge, so it dies instantly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Watson LP-E8 Lithium Battery I have been using Watson batteries in various cameras for over 5 years. They are still in use with reliable charging power and time in use. I am pleased with the performance of these batteries and find little difference in them to OEM batteries. They are are a good buy, good quality, and reliable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nothing special Can take about 450 pictures. Camera show full charge all the time until it turns off without warning.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great deal for the price. I purchased Watson batteries for my canon 650D and they work great. In my opinion, they only under perform against the new brand canon batteries when it comes to recharge but it is not that noticeable. Watson batteries win an overall especially the fact that they cost 50% than new brand canon batteries. So that means you can buy more batteries because you can never have too many batteries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality I was in the market for a second battery to have in my pack during those days where I'm constantly shooting. The salesman at B&H was very friendly and knowledgeable, and found me this after-market battery that functions perfectly for what I need it for. The price was right, too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised... Having accidentally left my canon battery in the charger, I picked up this battery to save me from a long trip home. It's good to have an extra battery anyhow! I can't say if I just got lucky, but the battery showed up as full power straight out of the package. After a few hours use, it still maintained a solid charge. I can't speak to any potential downfalls, as I have yet to run into any. If you want to complain, it is rated slightly less mAh than the official canon battery. However, that's likely to be from how pearstone tested the battery. The difference is so small that it's unlikely to affect the number of pictures you get out of a single charge. Great price, and great performance thus far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So-So buy I bought this product as a back up battery for my Canon t3i. The price on this battery was the best that i could find which is why i purchased it. One huge disadvantage to this battery is, it does not tell you how much life is left. One time in the middle of a shoot my battery went dead without warning, luckily I had my original battery with me. Besides that the battery life is about equal to the life of the Canon battery. If you can get past that one flaw I would recommend getting it.
