    Watson NP-E3 reviews

    NP-E3 NiMH Battery Pack (12V, 2000mAh) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 49.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Like the Canon OEM...Without Breaking the Bank I recieved this battery today; after unboxing it, I put it in my Canon 1Ds Mark II, and it fit perfectly! The latch is secure, and I was very impressed with it. I used it all day long, and after taking close to 500 images, the battery still had a full charge. I had no issues with the connections of the battery seperating from the connections of the camera. I am highly impressed witht the fit, finish, longevity, and price. At a fraction of the cost of the OEM Canon NP-E3, with the same exact performance, you cannot go wrong picking up a couple of these. I highly recommend it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't get this battery The first time I got a few of these batteries a couple of years ago to save money over the alternative, one of the batteries I purchased was a dud. I also had problems with the connectivity. I thought it was because of the charger. It was not. The Canon batteries were fine. Yesterday I purchased two more. One was a dud. The box it came in was even a bit damaged. 2 for 2. What's going on here? They should pull these batteries. Watson is a bad and unreliable brand. I am definitely asking for my money back with the dud and might have to bite the bullet and get a Canon battery. I'd rate it with 0 stars if I could.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mostly works I shoot youth sports and local events. Bought 2 of these battery packs to replace two dead Canon battery packs. The first wouldn't seal and latch correctly, so I replaced the latch and seal end with the end from my Canon -just two screws, no problems. The second battery pack fit and latched with no issues. I charged both batteries right out of the box, but probably should have run a refresh first. The first charge didn't last as long as I expected -only a few hundred shots. After running a refresh and charge it's still going strong after an entire weekend of games -over 600 shots. (I use AI Servo and do alot of chimping, so I won't likely hit the 1200 shot rating.) No problem when holding the camera vertical -contacts still work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from +3,700 shots and still showing full! I just used this in my 1D MkII Saturday to shoot a sporting event and within a couple hours shot over 3,700 frames. This was with a 70-200 using image stabilization but for the most part minimal chimping. The battery indicator still shows full charge. I had a similar experience with a genuine Canon battery where I shot +4,000 frames in a couple hours and it still showed full. I did completely discharge/recharge this battery three times right when I got it, but whether that really helped or not I can't say. I'd definitely buy more of these if I needed them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great alternative to the original I bought this item as my assistant used the Mark 2 camera and the two original batteries last only a couple of hours before pooping out. I didi not want to spend $100 or more on another Canon battery and found the Pearstone alternative for a fraction of the price. This battery goes for 8-10 hours taking over 1200 images and still has charge left.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from On first blush this battery is doing well for me. This product seems to work just fine! I needed another battery for my 1996 Canon 1DxMarkN and I didnt want to spend $140 on a Canon battery as I dont know how much longer the camera will hold up. This batter charged up nicely and seems to be holding a charge very well. I have not had any problem with the contacts or its fit into the camera

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Battery Gave new life to my Canon 1D Mark IIN - Charged with the Canon charger and fit in the body just fine. I ran them on a timelapse - and they outlasted a 32GB card!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice quality Saw several reviews with concerns about the fit and finish quality of this item. The units I received fit perfectly into the camera with no problems. The units thems appear very solidly built. Will come back and add a fifth star after I use them in the field for a while. Almost certainly will be oredering a couple more.
