    Watson DMW-BLC12 reviews

    DMW-BLC12 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.2V, 1100mAh) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 91.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent price/performance compared to OEM battery For price/performance value, this battery pack can't be beat. At less than half the price of the OEM battery, its performance is excellent. It doesn't hold as much energy as the OEM battery, but it's very close. Recording a 1080p video, I get about 140 mins with the Watson battery compared with 160 mins on the OEM one. An important feature is that this battery has a chip that the camera can read. The battery charge remaining indicator on the camera works with this battery. However, the indicator isn't as accurate as the OEM battery. The indicator will show up as full for a long time. But when it drops from 3 to 2 bars, the battery will die very soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb replacement for OEM - Show Charge Just bought five of these little beauties after struggling with the Power 2000 for a couple of years. (nothing wrong with those - but they are not decoded - don't show the charge level on a GH2) They are the only replacement battery that I have found which has the ability to show the charge state and close the file you are shooting before it dies. it is rated at 100mAh less than the original and despite the other reviews I found it lasted longer than the OEM but those are 18 months old now. The Power2000 are rated at 1500 mAh but in practise they do not last as long as the OEM battery. These Watson batteries are less than half the outrageous price Panasonic charge and are solid, well made and a very high quality product - cannot recommend them highly enough!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good affordable backup battery This battery looks well made. I use it with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX8 camera and it has at least 80 percent of the life of the original Panasonic battery. That might not sound too good, but the Watson battery is MUCH less expensive than the Panasonic battery. Just the other day, I had this Watson battery loaded at a museum visit, where I shot 27GB of 4K video files. The battery still had plenty of life in it, so there was no need to swap. All in all, I'm impressed with the life and appearance of this Watson battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functions Same as Panasonic's OEM It allows my FZ200 to show the charge state (unlike most other aftermarket ones I've read about i.e. the battery is decoded). Great price but yielded 13 percent less time when shooting continuous video compared to Panasonic's - Watson: 3 hrs and 5 min, OEM: 3hrs and 32 min (AVCHD in FSH mode, LCD screen open, manual focus). As an added bonus (since I bought it in-person), the battery was almost fully charged!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Panasonic replacement I purchased two of these to use with the Panasonic FZ1000. They perform perfectly. They last VERY slightly less time than the panasonic branded batteries but that is to be expected from a slightly smaller capacity battery. They charge quickly in the panasonic branded charger. They function in the camera exactly as the panasonic batteries do. Greaty inexpensive alternative. I say inexpensive as they are not cheaply made etc. They are high quality at low cost.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Battery - great price Battery does provide charge indication in Lumix G7 which is really nice/helpful so that you can change batteries before ruining a shot. Doesn't last quite as long as the OEM battery, but you can get two of these for the price of one OEM!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Compatibility Issues Works like the OEM battery in the Panasonic FZ1000, and charges fine in the OEM charger as well. Good value, would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value and it works! I believe this is as good as Panasonic's battery. (And the charge bars in the camera work too.)
