    Watson NP-FW50 reviews

    NP-FW50 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 1100mAh) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 250.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5* Customer Service!!! A few days ago I wrote a review of this product and gave it 2* because it did not seem to work well in my camera. Since then Watson has gone out of their way to contact me, inquire about the problem, and has a new battery on it's way to me. They didn't require me to prove anything, it has been two months since my purchase, and it has been one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. If the camera companies applied the same dedication to helping their customers the photographers of the world would be a far more satisfied group. I will probably write another chapter of this when the new battery shows up and I actually use it. This is purely an ode to the kind of service that deserves praise!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not charging with original Sony charger or in camera via USB I bought 2 batteries. None of them charges with the original Sony charger or inside the camera via USB. Not sure if it's necessary to buy Watson charger or it's deffective. Original Sony battery charges normal via both ways. Unfortunately I don't live in USA and couldn't exchange it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Why buy a brand name battery when it isn't necessary. I own three Canon DSLR's and one Sony Mirrorless A7IIR. Every one of these cameras has a watson battery inside. I'm a working pro who uses these cameras for hours every day and these Watson batteries have never failed me yet. Why spend $50 on a name brand battery when you can buy Watson for nearly half price? How many battery manufacturers do you think there are? I'd bet big dollars that the Watson batteries come off the same line as name brand. Do your wallet a favor and try Watson batteries. Like me, you wont' be disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible, does not retain charge, do not buy I bought a couple of these because they were cheaper than the OEM batteries, and I am disappointed by their performance. After a few months of use, they stop retaining the charge. Even after a full charge, their capacity runs only about 30-40% of the Sony originals. So you get less for less. Just pay up and buy the Sony originals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from america has super prices / super people /america is greatA Its great to not have to worry about running out of power / even better 4 batteries for the same price as a name brand . ( Canadian pesos are not equivalent to U$ ).Charges very fast ( 2 leds instead of 3 light on sony charger ) I had a second manufacturer battery for my canon , been on the lookout for one for my medium format SONY A7R /it eats batteries . I 've been crying since the seventies / eighties at B+H adds in the back of photo mags . My canon AE1 or Minolta 35 mm 's batteries lasted 3 yrs /not like what you young pups have to deal with . My Kodak brownie or pocket 110 don't need batteries (1968-77)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New battery incompatible with A7s Having used model B-4228 for some time with our A7s I was comfortable buying new batteries when we needed additional power. I charged the new batteries before my shoot and when I turned on the camera I received an incompatible battery message...on all three batteries. My new batteries are from production run #BM0316, the old batteries which functioned properly were from run # BM0115. I am waiting to here from Watson how they will resolve this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Batteries I love These Watson batteries. Not only are they priced much lower than my Canon and Sony batteries, but they also are very compatible with both my Sony and Canon cameras and the level of charge can be monitored on the display just like the name brands, which is something I have not found in other generic batteries. You can also purchase an AC/DC charger which is extremely handy and their lifespan of the Watson batteries appears to be equal to the name brands. I am happy

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Update To 4* A while back I purchased one of these and the Watson charger. Battery seemed to have a very low photo count per charge compared to original and another aftermarket battery. A day or so after I submitted the review Watson called to ask if there was anything they could do to make me happy. They ended up sending me a new battery at no cost which seems to perform fairly well. No hassle and a decent battery so I can't complain too much.
