    Watson NP-FM500H reviews

    NP-FM500H Lithium-ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 1500mAh) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 75.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great low-cost alternative I purchased this battery for use in my Sony A77ii. Comparing it to the original Sony branded battery, I can find no significant differences in construction. This battery is rated for 1500mAh, vice the Sony's 1600mAh, and 11.1Wh versus 11.5Wh. This difference in specification results in a slightly lower number of shots per charge, but considering the difference in price, it's absolutely worth it. I have run into no issues with the camera recognizing the battery and it charges in what appears to be a slightly lower amount of time, obviously due to the slightly lower capacity.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worthless When i bought these I expected a battery pack that would actually fit in my camera. When I have to use pliers to remove the battery pack from my camera I am not impressed with the quality. I own a @700 and the original battery pack fits like a glove. This pack need to hammered inn and pulled back out again. Sorry guys. This is not acceptable and it is not even worth the one star that I was forced to give it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not last After using it only a few times, the conectors came off and were stuck in my camera. At first I thought something was wrong with camera or sony battery since it would not go in. Then I realized the connectors were still in the camera. I had to use needle nose pliers to get them out so I could use the Sony battery that came with the camera. Next replacement battery will be a Sony.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only sorta works with Sony A series While the battery works fine in the camera body itself and is a good value, it does NOT work with the vertical grip.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not as good as sony After about 6 months of moderate use, the amount of charge it holds has dropped significantly. I get less than half of the battery life of the Sony, and both are the same age and have been used the same. Spend the extra money on a Sony. Does not slide in and out of the camera as smoothly as the Sony. I use it with an a700.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sticking Problem Although the battery ran my Sony Alpha 300 as well as the Sony cells, this cell had a rendency to get stuck in the battery compartment, making me lose shots and ultimately sending the camera off to get fixed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Battery This is a great battery. I purchased 4 of them. I do wish it had a bit more power. Although the battery is important..........it's also important to know what it is your camera/lens are doing. Continuous AF, 600mm vs. 18mm make a huge difference and each factor uses more or less power. But compared to Nikon batteries etc........it does take less pics which is the only reason i'm give 4 stars.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from High self-discharge This battery has the capacity as advertised, but the one that I got has an extremely high self-discharge for a lithium battery. It gets 100% discharged within a week, just by sitting on the shelf. The original Sony battery, while being fairly worn down, retains most of its charge a few months after charge. I use an external power pack alot, so having a ready to use battery even a few months after charge is important. I cannot recommend this battery to anyone, except someone who charges all batteries daily.
