    Nodal Ninja F4500 Reviews

NN4 Panoramic Tripod Head Starter Package is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice budget panoramic head I've used this head to take 360x180 full spherical panoramas and some partial spherical panoramas with my 5D Mark III. It's so much faster and easier to get all the needed shots for a large panorama! It's worked great with a variety of lenses. I've successfully used it from 24 up to 100mm focal lengths on full-frame. It's lighter and cheaper than some of the alternatives, but still solidly built and easy to use. It comes with some extra parts and a nice carrying case.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It does what it promises. Are there better panorama devices? Absolutely, but they cost a lot more. At this price point (especially if you want to minimize parallax) there is no competition. I improved it a bit with an arca-style clamp that I had sitting around. If you had to make hundreds of stitched photographs on short notice, it makes sense to spend the extra money on the more expensive model or perhaps the motorized version but for the occasional pano or Brenizer, this is light, travels well, and works as promised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product for Panos I use this to make single row panoramas with my Olympus e5 DSLR and it works great. No more parallax problems! Well constructed and easy to use, you can even buy alternate plates to accommodate an area style plate from Nodal Ninja's website.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value for money This is an easy to use, well thought out panoramic head. I mostly take 3-4 shot stitches in portrait orientation, and I don't have a complaint. As another reviewer said, those with very demanding needs might want something more elaborate, and perhaps mechanized, but this is a solid product that won't get in your way.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product Did a little research when getting into 360 panorama photography and this was a well-recommended, affordable solution. Easy to use, well built and fairly compact, this device is an excellent value. Our business has already paid it off with our first 360 real estate shoot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and easy Very nice product for full frame camera. I use my d800 and it works very good. Making virtual tours with this it's fairly simply.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tool, but requires setup Pretty slick little tool - worked great right out of the box, albeit after a bit of setup. Requires setup for each lens/camera combination, but making marks on the pano arms helps reduce changeover time the 2nd time around. Great for a dedicated lens/camera combo, but changing lenses in the field can be tricky (especially in the dark). Rotation of pano head became sticky and troublesome on 3rd use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The missing piece! I've really been avoiding these panoramic tripod heads, thinking I didn't really need one. I got this one together and did a test with 5 shots of a large floor to ceiling bay window, lots of lines and cross-lines. I was amazed at how quickly it stitched and how accurately. I haven't been able to find any lines not fitting. I'm excited now to get into lots more serious panoramic work.

Can you mount a manfrotto type base plate to this? My current setup has a manfrotto head. Changing base plates would be a pain. Thanks for your time.
    Asked by: Anonymous
The Nodal Ninja NN4 Panoramic Tripod Head Starter Package comes included with tripod head that is ready to mount on legs with a 3/8 -16 thread mount, so there is no need to change a base plate.

Can it be used for multi row pano since it has an upper rotator?
    Asked by: Michel
Yes. We typically shoot 3 rows + 1 down and 1 up when creating a sphere.

Is Canon 5ds r paired with 16-35 2.8II L going to be too heavy for this nn4 head? Thanks
    Asked by: EM K.
No, it will be fine with that gear. I've mounted a 7D with battery grip and 24-70 2.8 on it without problems.

How steady is this thing? Anyone having troubles with wind vibrations?

I enjoy using the NN4 panorama tripod head ... it works great and is easy to use.Steady? ... It is as steady as your tripod. If your tripod is steady then this head is too.
