The EVF Tri Mount Kit from Zacuto allows you to mount the EVF in 3 different ways. It gives you the option to use the EVF Standard Mount when shooting with handheld cameras and the Extender Viewfinder Mount when shooting on a tripod or dolly or in quick release hot-shoe mount configuration. The Tri Mount includes the EVF Standard Mount, a 7" (17.78cm) Male / Female rod and a ZUD 1/4"-20
The EVF Tri Mount is designed to mount the EVF using an EVF Standard Mount when shooting with the handheld cameras, or an Extender Viewfinder Mount when a tripod or a dolly is used for shooting, or using a quick release hot-shoe mount configuration
The 7" (17.78cm) rod enables you to use an EVF in an extender viewfinder by removing the EVF Mount from the Z-Mount Zwivel, screwing the rod into the EVF Mount and then sliding the Z-Mount Zwivel wherever you like so that you can place your EVF to your desired position
The ZUD 1/4"-20 detaches the camera and the EVF from the rig and allows you to mount it on the hot-shoe mount of the camera
In order to use the quick release hot-shoe mount effectively, the hot-shoe mount included with the EVF should be mounted on your camera's hot-shoe adapter. You then need to screw the ZUD 1/4"-20 into the mount and leave it on your camera's hot-shoe adapter
With a flip of the lever the EVF can be quickly released or attached from either the Standard Mount or Extender Viewfinder Mount
