I purchased the MZW80-1 BLIMP to attach to my Sony A7C Video Camera with K3M. I used a Smallrig Cage, Wooden Handle, Rycote INV-BH, Thumbscrews and Aluminum Base for the mount. The Blimp clears my Sony 70-200 Lens and gives me the ability to shoot Video/Audio from a distance. The setup works great and I don't need the boom pole operator

Since I needed to wait 6–10 weeks to get the Rycote 086061 Modular Windshield WS 8J Kit for MKH8070, I purchased this windshield that was in stock. It consists of two parts, MZW 70-1 and MZW 70-1 EXT. At the beginning, screwing the MZW 70-1 EXT into the MZW 70-1 was very difficult. But after changing the XLR cable (Kopul Studio Elite 4000 purchased from B&H) to an XLR cable with a smaller diameter (Gotham 11001 GAC-4/1), the issue was solved. Though this has been used only under moderate wind conditions, so far I have never encountered wind noise issues. To carry this, I use a cheap tripod carry bag (80cm long, 13cm diameter) for around $25.

Does this BLIMP reduce the forward sensitivity distance of the 8070?
The Sennheiser MZW 80-1 Blimp Windshield will do a great job of creating space around the microphone and diffusing extreme winds that would otherwise disturb the microphone capsule and ruin your recordings. While protecting your mic from those extreme winds though, it still does a great job of allowing air to pass through naturally so that your mic can capture sound clearly across the full audible frequency spectrum. It will not reduce the forward sensitivity of the Sennheiser MKH 8070 Moisture-Resistant Long Shotgun Microphone.
