Casio AT-5 overview

  • 1Description

The AT-5 Oriental Portable Keyboard by Casio offers 76 piano-style keys and is equipped with over one thousand tones and rhythms. This keyboard however is particularly special as it features 54 Oriental tones and 83 Oriental accompaniment rhythms making it ideal for Asian influenced music performance and composition. It also features scales used in Oriental music so you can adjust the tuning of each note or apply them to auto accompaniments to get that authentic sound of the Orient.

The AT-5 also features a sixteen track song sequencer and an eight track pattern sequencer. Audio from the keyboard, song or pattern sequencer, auto accompaniments or even the instrument and mic inputs can be recorded directly to SD memory card. Saved audio files can be transferred to a computer via USB for long-term storage and with Special Data Manager 6.0, you can convert the musical data stored on the keyboard to WAV for playback on most any computer and CD player.

Built-in Oriental Tones and Rhythms
The AT-5 features 54 Oriental tones including oud, qanun, nay and more. It also includes 83 Oriental accompaniment rhythms which cover everything from traditional to modern music making it an ideal choice for Oriental music performance and composition
Oriental Scale Setting
The tuning of the preset sounds can be easily changed by quarter tone to recreate scales required for Oriental music. These scales can be used for both live performances and composition and can be applied to auto accompaniments
Song Sequencer
The built-in song sequencer provides 16 individual tracks plus one system track which supports up to five songs. Key recording and editing features include punch in/out for spot recording and note-by-note event editing. Editing tools include event insert/delete/copy, quantize, a note range locator and more. The step recording function allows you to input notes by specifying the length and pitch. Upon completion, recordings can be converted to SMF (Standard MIDI File) format and stored to an SD memory card
Pattern Sequencer
Up to eight tracks can be edited to create original accompaniment patterns for intros, fills and more. It also allows you to record over accompaniment parts in a preset rhythm and gives you control over each aspect of the recorded data. The Easy Edit function lets you combine accompaniment parts from multiple built-in rhythms and then mix the volume, effects and other parameters of each part. Editing tools include event insert/delete/copy, quantize and more. The AT-5 can store up to 100 user rhythms and play them back instantly
Audio Recording/Playback
Audio from the keyboard, song sequencer, auto accompaniment or even the instrument and mic inputs can be recorded directly to SD memory card. Likewise, you can load instrumentals from the internal SD card and play along on the keyboard. Saved audio files can be transferred to a computer via USB for long-term storage. With Special Data Manager 6.0 you can even convert the musical data stored on the keyboard to WAV for playback on most any computer and CD player
32-channel Mixer
Adjust the volume, pan, reverb send and other settings for each individual part. You can also adjust the input level via the mic and instrument inputs
