A fast and flexible normal-length prime, the XF 35mm f/1.4 R from FUJIFILM is a 53mm-equivalent lens characterized by its bright f/1.4 maximum aperture. This design benefits working in difficult lighting conditions and also affords greater control over depth of field for isolating subject matter and using selective focus techniques. The optical design employs one aspherical element, which reduces distortion and spherical aberrations in order to achieve higher sharpness and accurate rendering. A Super EBC coating is also featured, which reduces flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity.

Will the 35 f/1.4 be able to take advantage of the 40mp new system of the XT5? Or is the lens to old for the 40mp?
The FUJIFILM XF 35mm f/1.4 R Lens is a very good lens. And optically should keep up with the resolution of the Fujfilm X-t5 camera.

This lens has a Fuji X mount. We do not have an adapter that will allow for this combination no.

How does this lens perform on the new XT5 with the extra resolution?
The FUJIFILM XF 35mm f/1.4 R Lens will perform very well on the X-T5, although it's not one of Fujifilm's highest resolving lenses.

It is a bit slower with the focusing and does make more noise than the F/2 but it is significantly sharper.

The Fujifilm 35mm f/1.4 XF R Lens would come in the original packaging from the manufacturer, with all of the items included in the box at the factory. Per policy, B&H will not open up a package, so would not remove an item from the box or change the packaging. This lens comes with front and rear lens caps, a lens hood, and a lens pouch in the box.
